Stop Typing, Start Talking: Dictation Is Live in Moyae

Your tech is rooming a patient, typing up the chief complaint, and trying to spell "posterior subcapsular cataract" while the patient is still talking. They misspell it. Backspace. Try again. Meanwhile, the patient thinks nobody's listening.

So we built voice dictation directly into Moyae.

What We Released

Starting today, you can dictate directly into two of the most-used fields in any patient encounter: chief complaint and care plan. Tap the mic, speak naturally, and the text appears. No extra software to install, no hardware to buy, no third-party app running in the background.

Why It Actually Works for Eye Care

If you've tried dictation with Siri or Google, you already know the problem. Say "hypertropia" and you get "hyper trophy." Say "OD" and it types "odd."

Our speech-to-text model was trained specifically on medical vocabulary, including ophthalmic terminology, abbreviations, and the shorthand you actually use in clinic. It knows the difference between "OS" and "the operating system."

What's Next

Chief complaint and care plan are just the starting point. We're building broader dictation and documentation features across the platform, and speech-to-text is the foundation for the AI capabilities we're working on for the encounter workflow. More on that soon.

Come See It

We'll be at ASCRS this year at booth #2330. Stop by and try dictation yourself — it makes more sense when you see it in action.

If you're already a Moyae customer, dictation is live now — look for the mic icon in your encounter fields.
